Marinated Halloumi

This is a super tasty dish for dinner parties, great served as part of a sharing feast/mezze style meal. Full of flavour & best served straight from the pan when still warm & delicious.


  • 1 block halloumi, sliced

  • 1 lemon, juice & zest

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp honey

  • A few sprigs of thyme

  • A pinch of red chilli flakes

  • Sea-salt & black pepper


  1. Lay out the slices of halloumi into a dish. Add all of the ingredients listed and stir to evenly distribute & cover the halloumi. Leave aside to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

  2. Heat a griddle pan, then add the halloumi slices and cook over a medium heat until golden.
